Two Malls and a Bazaar

I should have posted last week right after having a tiring weekend window shopping in two malls and Global Pinoy Bazaar but I was too busy removing trash emails. Anyway, my WS adventure started at 11 AM last Sat, Sept 20. I met with my friend Jon in Gateway. It was funny because I didn't realize that Fully Booked was the bookstore beside Watson's and Odyssey. Gosh, how can I forget? I needed to "consult" the mall map to find it. Hahahahaha.

I met Jon in Fully Booked then we proceeded to Teriyaki Boy. I've always liked this dining place. Last time, I met with friends here and ordered tonkatsu. I was so inggit with their kani salad so I decided to order it this time. Jon ordered Tempura, California Maki and rice. We both had bottomless iced tea. It was a hearty lunch. I was full halfway of my kani salad. Our tab was P645.

Good thing about Gateway Mall is its accessibility. The train is just a few minutes away. We took the MRT from Cubao to Guadalupe then jeepney to Powerplant Mall (aka Rockwell). It was like a homecoming for me cos I haven't visited this mall for like 4 years. Can you imagine? It retained its crowd, charm and snobbish appeal. Despite being a Saturday, there weren't too many people there (one of the reasons I like this mall). There was a Jaguar showcase at that time and I enjoyed looking at their new models.

We went around for a few minutes, took some pics then off to the Global Pinoy Bazaar. I liked the shirts with prints such as Kaladkarin, Seloso, Mahiyain, etc. You get the picture? And also the artworks (pen and paper) that spill over to the frame. Jon, being an artist, promised to do one for me. Yey! He gave me a small oil painting for my birthday a few years back.

After paying a hundred bucks for entrance, we went inside the Rockwell Tent to check out the bazaar items. Usual stuffs (the ones you can see in Multiply online stores) were displayed. Nothing spectacular. But the dresses were nice. Not too many stuffs for the guys though. I wasn't impressed because I was used to big bazaars where too many merchandise attract attention and gave me the feeling of being "lost." Anyway, it was convenient shopping, price was reasonable and they accepted credit card. Yessss!

Soon enough, we went back to Powerplant Mall and looked around some more. We spotted Lovi Poe and Jolo Revilla, in the perfume stall, right in front of CMG store. They were cozy and seemed conscious that people were looking at them. Actually, we were the only ones looking at them. Hahahahaha.

After the stargazing, we checked out the Jaguar models and left for Gateway mall again. We had merienda and called it a shopping day. A long one.

First, there will be a wide display of world class Filipino brands. Am a fan!

Second, am covering it for a newspaper. It's work!

So well, hope to see all of you there.
